Lake Lawtonka's Gift

We went to Lake Lawtonka this evening to check on our sailboat.
The lake was really up thanks to the abundance of rain from last week.
The beach and boat ramp were mostly under water.

I found many wonderful bases for my tree sculptures!
I'm so excited about these washed-up pieces of wood!

This smooth weathered wood will make the
perfect canvas for a nautical painting!

Oklahoma!
I hope we'll be sailing and swimming here soon ~ ~ ~

    1. This big lake is just on the other side of our house. :) With the heavy winds it often looks like ocean waves heating the shore. :) I love seas, lakes, rivers, ponds, creeks!!!

  3. Beautiful pics! Must be great in summer to live near a lake. We have just a small handmade one here in Hannover. So I just love to drive to the seaside.

    1. Lily - We swim and sail here all summer long - and we have long summers. Oh, all Oklahoma lakes are man-made.... but that's ok with me.

  4. Driftwood! You can do so much with it. I love the smoothness and bleached out pieces. And they're so "un splintery". :)
