ART: A Haiku for the Chinese New Year

Altar II, Encaustic on panel

A Haiku in Honor of the Chinese New Year

Nothing is urgent
Drink red tea from a clear cup
Rise like a new sun

The horses are ushering in the Chinese New Year!
Traditionally red is worn, poetry is written on red paper
and fire is lit to drive away 'bad luck.'
Hope you have a fun day!

  2. The encaustic is fantastic and bright.
Indeed, there's much to be celebrated in this new year.
    May the horses remain!
