NATURE: Sitting inside an old cedar corpse...

Heading to the craggy hills.
Rachel & Seth telling a story.
Sitting inside an old cedar corpse.
Made Helen pose by my favorite rock of the day.

This was today's hike in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
First thing we saw was a coyote and didn't see much
wildlife except for birds after that.  We got off course
so decided to boulder the south side of Mt. Scott's Boy
instead of back-tracking.  Three and a half hours of hiking
was just right.  The weather was just right also!
It was peaceful and strenuous.

isn't subtracted from your life span." -WN

  1. I need to get to that refuge one day. The cedar looks like it might be a good place for a woodpecker!
I've never seen such a yellow rock.
Glad you got out to play and that you spotted a coyote.
