LIFE: and Death

Fear not the shadow
from the blackbird for the sun
is higher above
(current haiku)

My father passed away last Thursday.
Truthfully, he has always been like a figure
in the distant horizon, now he has totally
vanished from sight.

It's a very emotional time
 for me at the moment...

  1. Sending prayers, Sandra, I'm with you in your grief... mine just keeps surfacing and inviting me to go deepr. I recieved your beautiful card, it is in the kitchen, reminding me of spring. Blessings, blessings to you.

  2. I'm so sorry. I don't know what it is like, losing a father. I dread that day.
Fathers play such an important part in their daughters life, whether they know it or not. Whether they are near or far.
I love so, so much that haiku.
My thoughts are with you, San.

  3. I'm sending you my love for this hard time. My thoughts are with you!

  4. I've been absent...I am sorry to come to you and hear you are struggling with this...
I am so sorry for your loss.
This post is so poignant, and so perfect.
    I think you of always.
Wishing you peace, love and healing.

  5. Thank you dear friends with all my heart.
