NATURE: Spring and Friends

In the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge today....

With our dear friends, Dennis & Lavonne
visiting from Colorado.

A female collard lizard
A male collard lizard courting females.
Prairie Flax
Barrel Cactus

The weather was perfect,,, and we were
treated to bright flowers and bold lizards.

I   leave   you   with   a   few   words   from   John   O'Donahue...

When one flower blooms, spring awakens everywhere.

Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination.

Take time to see the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

The secret and the sacred are sisters. When the secret is not respected, the sacred vanishes. Consequently, reflection should not shine too severe or aggressive a light on the world of the soul

  1. oh wow, the colors of the lizard (just wrote wizard instead :))

  2. What a beautiful adventure, and this collard lizard is fantastic!

  3. Looks like a pristine day for showing your friends around the refuge!
Did you get a new camera?? Those images are unreal, sister.
That lizard! That lizard! Love that lizard. ;)
    Happy spring, for sure.
