Matisse and Gordon Lightfoot

We recently saw the Matisse in His Time:  Masterworks of Modernism
exhibit at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. The show is scheduled
 in only three venues - Martigny/Switzerland, Turin/Italy
and in here in OKC!

I was inspired by the artwork and the synergy of works from his
contemporaries like Picasso.

We also caught Gordon Lightfoot's concert in the nearby area!
I've been a lifelong fan!

Reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated. ;)

I recently taught a few watercolor classes at the
Comanche Nation College's 2016 Hummingbird Camp.

The students took part in a variety of activities in which they
learned about hummingbirds and other pollinators.

I'm glad art was one way to learn about pollinators.

The students painted some lovely birds...

Did you know a hummingbird's heart
beats 1,260 times per minute!?

Postcard days from the back yard - Prairie Hill….

Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination.
-John O'Donahue

there is less time and energy for me to be on-line these days.
time seems to be whizzing by…. slow in the areas where I feel I'm in the crucible;
yet moving too swiftly in moments of pleasure and peace.

i pray blessings and beauty upon your season.
