Hummingbirds

I recently taught a few watercolor classes at the
Comanche Nation College's 2016 Hummingbird Camp.

The students took part in a variety of activities in which they
learned about hummingbirds and other pollinators.

I'm glad art was one way to learn about pollinators.

The students painted some lovely birds...

Did you know a hummingbird's heart
beats 1,260 times per minute!?

  1. Nice work everybody!!
Water colors are one of the most tricky & difficult mediums to work with. For me, that is.
Hummingbirds are so incredible. They are like magic with wings.

  3. They are, without a doubt, the sweetest watercolor hummingbirds I've ever seen. What a great experience it must have been to teach these budding artists.
